FAQs

What is an Accessible Bathroom?

An accessible bathroom is a bathroom that is safe and accessible for all people. Bathrooms are typically cramped, slippery, and filled with obstacles making navigation to bathing and cleansing areas dangerous and difficult.

An accessible bathroom typically contains a comfort height toilet wtih grab bar support, either a barrier free shower or a walk-in/slide-in bath tub, wall mounted vanity for wheel-chair access, as well as non-slippery flooring surfaces, adequate lighting, and support bars.

Adaptabath specializes in complete accessible bathroom conversions incorporating elements of Universal Design and recommendations by the National Association of Home Builders as documented in thier Certified Aging In Place Specialist(CAPS) guidebooks.
